Thanksgiving

This year we stayed in Portland for Thanksgiving. We missed our families a lot, but we had a good time here. Two families in our ward invited us to have Thanksgiving with them, it was delicious and we had a good time. I didn't take any pictures on Thanksgiving. We went to the Macy's holiday parade in downtown Portland the day after Thanksgiving and it was a lot of fun for us.

Hmmm...Century High (Jacob's high school in Pocatello) came all this way to be in the Parade!
Yep we had a prime spot, right next to the trash can.

Halloween 2011

Jacob was such a good sport and carried Charli for most the time when we took her out to trick or treat.
Our mummy, she would only wear her head band temporarily, so this is the best picture we got.

Charli loved her pumpkin. She would walk over to it and give it kisses. She is such a cutie.
This is a picture Jacob took of the trees by our house. Autumn is beautiful here in Portland.
Momsie, (Holly's grandma) sent Charli this chair in the mail. Charli would always go and climb into this chair at Momsie's. So one day we got a really big package in the mail with this chair in it, the pumpkin in the picture and those flowers that Charli is holding. She also sent an Elmo movie and book. Thank you so much Momsie! We love you and we miss you. As you can see in the picture, Charli says "cheese" now for our pictures, sometimes.

We made it to Oregon

Above is a picture of us at the Oregon Coast. Below is our family in Virginia Beach. You can see that it is a little cooler here in Oregon, and we got lucky that the sun was shinning.

We finally made it to Oregon! We are almost all unpacked, we just have a few things left that we need to find a place for. We are 10 minutes from Ikea, which I love, unfortunately that is Charli's least favorite store. We are also 10 minutes from a "real" outlet mall. The shopping here is amazing, and the traffic is crazy! It is hard to believe that in the last three months we have lived on opposite sides of the United States. We have been to the Atlantic and the Pacific ocean in those short few months.

Here are some pictures from the time we spent in Virginia Beach. Charli had a great time and was a great traveler for us. Jacob is still in Virginia working but he will be home in 2 more weeks and Charli and I can't wait to see him again.

Summer Fun

This is a very long post, here a couple of pictures from the last two weeks. Charli loves to swim, have suckers, and eat popsicles. We had a great Fourth of July. Jacob was able to come home for the weekend, he only has 10 more days left in Portland to finish up his summer class and look for a place for us to live in the fall.

Charli loves to go in this swing. She really likes to go fast and she likes to go high. We found that out when Lucy was pushing her the other day and Charli was laughing and smiling the whole time.

Last summer Jacob bought this bike trailer at a garage sale. We finally got to use it the other day and Charli seemed to enjoy herself on our bike ride.

Earlier this month we went to the Boise Zoo, the giraffes were the best exhibit.

Jacob got into Chiropractic school at University of Western States. We are so proud of him. We will be moving to Portland, Oregon, this fall. We will miss our families so much, but we are excited to start this new adventure.

This last weekend we went to Boise. We celebrated my birthday there with my family. I like this picture, look at my niece on the right, her face is priceless.

My mom helped Hilary and I make these aprons. They are completely adorable, but I have to warn you if you are thinking of making one, these took us four hours.

The Idaho Dental Hygiene Conference
This is my research group, and the beautiful and very expensive poster behind us. We had a lot of fun in Boise.

The senior class

These skirts are originals. It took us four hours to make five poodle skirts with two sewing machines, we had a lot of fun and we looked really cute too.

Lots of dental hygiene stuff. We were in the homecoming parade for Idaho State. We handed out toothbrushes and toothpaste.

Jacob got to go bird hunting with my Dad and Grady. He had a blast and got two birds.

Labor Day Weekend

We went to Jackson Hole for a day over Labor Day weekend. These pictures cost us eight dollars because our batteries were dead in our camera and we had to buy new ones there. Batteries are expensive in Jackson.

Back in July we went up to McCall for a weekend with the Becks. We had a great time. We went to the beach at the lake, built sandcastles (or a pyramid), Ice cream Alley, swam at the pool, held Millie, played with Lucy, and had s'mores. We had a lot of fun and can't wait to go next summer.

We came to Boise this weekend to see our new niece. She was born on Wednesday night. Her name is Millie. So we got to hold her all weekend. We also got to go boating, which is always fun. There is a picture of my brother doing his latest trick on the wake board.

Cruise

Jacob and I house-sat/dog-sat in March. So with the money we made we were able to go on a cruise. We had a great time together. The ship was only able to stop in Catalina. (We were supposed to go to Mexico, but because of the swine flu, that didn't happen.) We had a great time and loved Catalina Island. This was a great way to start our summer vacation.

Two Year Anniversary

Last night Jacob and I invited his sister, Anne, and her husband, Andrew, to carve pumpkins with us. We had a lot of fun and I was really proud of myself, because this is the first year that I have scrapped the goop out all by myself. Jacob and Andrew had a lot of fun with the dremel, for those of us that don't know what that is, it was the drill.

Our Temple Trip

Last week Jacob and I went to the Idaho Falls temple. It was a really nice day so we walked around the temple grounds for a while. Here are some of the pictures we took. Well the ones that do not look like a self portrait were taken by a tree. We hung our camera on a tree to take them, they didn't turn out too bad.

Conference Weekend

Jacob and I went to Utah for conference and his mission reunion. But that's not the exciting part! On the way down we hit a LOG going about 80 in the middle of the freeway. I heard Jacob curse for the first time. That was pretty funny! Jacob changed out the tire on the side of the dark freeway. We stopped in Tremonton to switch the doughnut to the back. I was able to flatter some Amigos into helping us change it with another jack. Jacob liked that, cause he got to practice his Spanish with them. I just stood there and smiled. The good thing is we're safe, the bad thing is I didn't get a picture of the amigos, because I didn't know if they'd let me take it if they were illegals.

It was a good weekend though. Jacob got to see some of his mission buddies and his mission president and his wife. Thanks Amy and Donald for letting us stay at your place.
